2026 CREA Conference Travel Scholarship
Sponsored by the Center for Measurement JusticeWe are pleased to announce that scholarships to attend the 2026 CREA Annual Meeting will be made available to doctoral students who come from an educational, cultural, or geographic background that is underrepresented in the field of educational measurement and assessment.
Travel Scholarship Eligibility
CMJ seeks doctoral students in educational measurement and assessment, psychometrics, or quantitative psychology who are members of historically underrepresented communities in these fields. Further preference will be given to those who have submitted a proposal for CREA 2026. Up to 10 scholarships will be awarded.
Scholarship Details
Scholars will receive up to $1,500 to attend the CREA Conference in Chicago, IL from October 7th-9th, 2026. This funding may only be used to cover airfare, hotel accommodations, meal stipends, CREA conference registration, and other approved conference-related expenses.
Application Information
To apply for the Travel Scholarship, applicants should:

- Complete the application form, which includes a brief (200-250 word) description of your research interest(s)
- Submit the following through the form:
- curriculum vita or résumé
- graduate school transcript (unofficial copy is acceptable)
- if applicable, a copy of the proposal submitted to CREA 2026 (Note: Proposals do not have to be accepted in order to qualify for the scholarship.)

Applications will be reviewed and scholarships will be awarded beginning July 1, 2026.
Final application deadline is August 1, 2026.
